Sue Morgan

Sue began playing the piano when she was 2, and grew up playing popular songs for family get-togethers, whilst pursuing classical music at school and college. She was introduced to Cape Breton piano playing by accordionist Lynn Tocker, and within 3 years she’d started playing in a band with Robin. She is heavily influenced by Cape Breton and New England piano styles. She was always keen on the idea of a band consisting solely of fiddles and piano, so she’s delighted with our current line-up. Sue also plays Northumbrian pipes, playing solos and duets at weddings at concerts. Outside of the band, Sue enjoys playing Organ at Church Services, and leads Church choir rehearsals.

Rachael (fiddle & viola), originally from Dudley, West Midlands, recently graduated from the Folk and Traditional Music Degree at Newcastle University. He has made and features on numerous albums, most recently his solo banjo album, which can be downloaded here. He also performs as a duo with Cath Tyler playing Anglo-American folk music - visit their website here.
